Snapple’s “Elements Beverages” partners with bthere.TV to produce and distribute a Brand Entertainment video campaign.

(PRWEB) July 3, 2002

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: New York City, June 27, 2002

“Elements Beverages” partners with bthere.TV to produce and distribute a Brand Entertainment video campaign.

New York City based bthere.TV, a leading producer and distributor of Celebrity Reality video programs has partnered with “Elements Beverages” to create and distribute a series of Brand Entertainment programs. “The production and distribution of the Elements Branded Entertainment videos are designed to extend the marketing reach of our sponsorship of this summer’s AREA 2 Festival and give our consumers exciting content on elementsbev.com,” says Lewis Goldstein, Director Marketing Communications, Snapple Beverage Group.

bthere.TV will be producing video entertainment that showcases the Elements beverages being used by extreme mountain boarders and rock stars alike. Elements sponsoring of the Area 2 festival which includes music performances by Moby, David Bowie, Busta Rhymes, Ash and Blue Man Group, in addition to extreme mountain boarding by Team Elements. To extend the reach of this sponsorship, Elements is having bthere.TV document the event and then make the video available for viewing on the Elements Web site (http://www.elementsbev.com) as well as all the sites in the bthere.TV online network.

“Why limit the sponsorship to a mere physical event?” asks Michael Pozner of bthere.TV. By documenting the event in a way that highlights the association of the Elements brand with the Area 2 lifestyle you extend the reach and duration of the marketing initiative to millions of Elements’ drinkers. Any consumer that watches the Brand Entertainment as a video on demand (VOD) program gets the message that Elements supports Area 2 and extreme mountain boarding. Those associations are key to Elements goal of being the drink for the Gen Y audience.

“As more and more advertisers are worried about recordable TV’s ability to zap-out commercials and as TV becomes more VOD and less linear, brands such as Elements are looking for creative ways to make their advertising part of the actual entertainment” says Andrew Simon, VP of Advertising Sales at bthere.TV.

“Another great aspect of this campaign is how bthere.TV’s production capabilities enhance the sweepstakes prize. It’s one thing to win a trip to Area 2 but a very different thing to know that your trip will be documented and distributed to millions of kids that are just like you. bthere.TV has enabled Elements to turn an exciting prize into a great prize” says Goldstein.

About bthere.TV

bthere.TV produces and distributes video documentaries of celebrity events and activities that allow the viewers of same to feel as if they had actually been at the event or activity. By documenting the events, bthere.TV enables brands to extend the reach of their marketing programs well beyond just the consumers who were actually there. Additionally, the events, once documented on video, can be shared with consumers and media outlets forever. bthere.TV has created 1000s of mini documentaries that capture the “making of” concerts, magazine photo shoots, music videos, celebrity parties, major Entertainment Industry events, fashion shows and Hollywood movies. bthere.TV documents the above productions from the perspective of very famous celebrities.

IDLE HANDS BEGET THE DEVIL’S WORK

(PRWEB) March 17, 2003

NEW YORK, NY – As a southern girl, sewing was a rite of passage. You never questioned if you should learn, it was a matter of when. Though I possess the skill, it was rarely put to use. One day, while shopping for a quilt, I went back to my roots.

Searching for a quilt with an ethnic feel, I went to several department stores. I found nothing that appealed to my sense of color, style and culture – nothing that spoke to my soul. So, I gave up, went to an African fabric store, selected fabrics, and made my own.

As a child in rural Alabama, this routine restored memories of the first quilt I ever made. I was nine and in fourth grade. Around this time, my grandmother made a quilt for each of her grandchildren as a Christmas gift. Now, my nephew of nine sleeps on that same quilt. Tattered and re-stitched in several places, it remains a familial favorite.

While making my most recent quilt, I rediscovered that quilting is more than sewing, it’s a bond from generation to generation. Wrapped in my grandmother’s gift, I feel her presence. Hair askew, laughing in her lap, I’m nine again, with all its incumbent joys.

Cutting and stitching, there is a powerful rebirthing of a time gone by – the smell of honeysuckle on a fence, the clang of cow bells heard from the field, watermelon juice circling the curve of a sticky, ashy elbow.

I am convinced that if today’s youth were taught to occupy their hands with more than buttons on a video game, they would learn patience, pride, and develop confidence. And just maybe, we would have fewer troubled youth today. As Grandma used to say, “Idle hands beget the devil’s work.”

At nine, you don’t relate to that sentiment. But as I designed, cut, and sewed, the hours zoomed by. I felt as if I was lost in a good book, only I decided the characters, the plot, the ending.

Now that Zola (my sewing machine) has unleashed her magical powers, she refuses to occupy her once familiar place in the bottom of my old college trunk. She sits atop her new surroundings proudly, beckoning me, as if to admonish my idle hands.

There are days when I tell Zola to leave me alone, but in no time at all the fabrics in all their fanciful colors and patterns beckon, and we are one again, creating in unison, literally sewing the seeds of our destiny.

NEWSLETTER MAY 2003 SEMILLAS de ESPERANZA (SEEDS OF HOPE) A MINISTRY OF NICK AND WENDY SERIANNI CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

(PRWEB) May 16, 2003

A SPECIAL EASTER

The Easter season was special for us this year. To prepare for Easter Sunday, we wanted to do something memorable for the kids in our discipleship class. Based on memories of my days at St. MaryÂ’s Catholic School in Ticonderoga and the annual Passover celebration we held in the school gym, Wendy and I decided to prepare a biblical passover dinner.

On Thursday we prepared all the customary Jewish foods, such as the bitter herbs, celery and salt water, haroset, wine (grape juice) and lamb (goat as our replacement). Along with the dinner, we presented a teaching about the Exodus from Egypt. As it turned out, the kids were not familiar with the history of the Passover, and it was something different and exciting for them.

ENCOURAGED BY GROWTH

We have been encouraged by the growth and steady attendance at the various programs run by our ministry. The first children’s group we began two years ago in Hoya del Caimito has grown dramatically in the past two months. Seven new kids between the ages of 7 and 9 and a few more between 9 and 14 have joined the group. Over thirty kids typically attend each meeting.

These “campamentos,” as they are called, have become a regular part of their weekly routine and they would not miss them for the world. Even the kids who have afternoon classes come directly from school in their uniforms and with their backpacks to the park where we hold the meetings. We feel blessed to be able to touch so many lives in such a positive, spiritual way.

CHANGED LIVES

More important to us than seeing a rise in attendance is to see the changes that have taken place in the lives of the young people. A good example of the seeds we plant bearing fruit is a fourteen year-old girl named Ada. When she first started attending the campamento a year ago, she was extremely difficult to deal with. She had a fiery temper, a bad attitude, wore tight, sexy clothes, and flirted with the boys. The change in her is like the difference between night and day. She has learned to control her temper and to act modestly. Now, she is in

our discipleship class, and she is the first one to volunteer to pray. It is clear that she is putting into practice the biblical principles that we have taught her. There is only one thing that could produce such a radical change in Ada. It is the power of the Holy Spirit transforming her life.

NEW HAMPSHIRE ORGANIZATIONS RESPOND TO NATIONAL REPORT ON CHILDHOOD DRINKING

(PRWEB) September 11, 2003 -

Portsmouth, NH—based National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Medicine released a landmark report on childhood drinking. This report, “A National Strategy to Prevent and Reduce Underage Drinking” was commissioned by Congress and outlines recommendations for a national strategy to reduce and prevent childhood drinking problems.

The Institute of Medicine report identifies the most promising and effective strategies for reducing underage drinking. The report panel, comprised of respected researchers, academics and prevention experts, solicited a broad range of input and developed a comprehensive, unbiased report on underage drinking and recommendations to reduce and prevent underage drinking problems.

John Bunker, President of New Futures, a statewide nonprofit committed to reducing childhood alcohol use and increasing treatment, said, “For New Hampshire, the release of this national report represents an opportunity to draw attention to this critical public health and safety issue and provides a source of information for preparing an effective New Hampshire-specific strategy to reduce underage drinking that will work in our state.”

Bunker continued, “The Institute of Medicine’s report warrants careful review as New Hampshire citizens and policymakers consider an action plan for reducing and preventing childhood drinking problems in our state. Research shows that alcohol is our number one youth drug problem in New Hampshire. One half of New Hampshire high school students – 53 percent – report current alcohol use; one third – 32 percent – report binge drinking.

“Preventing underage drinking must be a community priority and a state priority. We believe that solutions to our state’s underage drinking problems will need to be a combination of family involvement, community initiatives, state policy solutions, and federal resources.

“It’s our problem, our challenge, our opportunity,” Bunker added.

Jerry Madden, Chief of Concord Police, noted “From practical experience and the best science, we know that underage drinking is not a rite of passage but rather a wrong turn for our state’s youth. The Institute of Medicine’s national underage drinking report provides an important opportunity to draw attention to this critical public health and safety issue in New Hampshire.”

Ellen Shemitz, President of the Children’s Alliance of New Hampshire, said “This issue is about children and youth who use alcohol. Childhood drinking is a very serious problem about which every family, community and policymaker in our state needs to be concerned.”

Dr. Andrew Smith, Director of the University of New Hampshire’s Survey Center, remarked, “I have always felt that as a researcher, I find the statistics showing the impact of alcohol on teens compelling. As a father, realizing that these statistics represent our children at risk is disturbing.”

THE FACTS:

Underage alcohol use is more likely – six times more likely – to kill young people than all illegal drugs combined. (MMRW, Report 51, 2002)

There are widespread harms associated with underage drinking. Young people who drink are more likely to engage in a broad range of risky behaviors (NIAAA, 1997). Alcohol is key factor in the three leading causes of death among young people – traffic crashes, homicides, and suicides. (CDC, 1995) In 2001, 28 percent of New Hampshire high school students reported riding with a driver, in the past 30 days, who had been drinking alcohol. Ten percent of high school students reported driving after drinking alcohol. (YRBS, 2001) The rate of alcohol-related traffic crashes is greater for drivers ages 16-20 than for drivers age 21 and older. (Zador, Journal of Studies on Alcohol 61(3), 2000)

The risk of alcohol problems increases when drinking starts at an early age. Youth who drink before they turn 15 are four times more likely to develop alcohol dependence than those who start drinking at 21. (NIAAA, 1997) In New Hampshire, more than 1 in 4 high school students had their first drink of alcohol before the age of 13. (YRBS, 2001)

Youth marketing and advertising encourages youth to drink alcohol. Kids see more television advertising for beer than for youth-oriented products like juice, gum, chips, sneakers or jeans. (CAMY, 2002)

Adults and parents need to appreciate the scope and harm of underage alcohol use.

Solar generated hydrogen fuel and electricity has become a reality; Enough to supply cities the size of Los Angeles and Houston. Will Cutting-Edge Televison-Education and Breakthrough Energy Technology join forces to save the Earth? “Solar Tower™ Turbine Cluster Villages” represent the very best alternative energy generation for the immediate and foreseeable future.”

(PRWEB) November 30, 2003

TOKYO-(PRWEB) November 27, 2003-[Enviromission EarthNews Online (C) All rights reserved.] “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” a 3.6 billion dollar global energy and agricultural cooperative initiative, has recommended that cooperation between TOUCHSTONE ENERGY® COOPERATIVES and it’s PARTNER, DISCOVERY CHANNEL SCHOOL and the “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” be implemented TO HELP LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, their teachers and the PTA, learn more about the expanding development of Solar Tower™ technology throughout the world.

Middle school students all across America and around the world are energized about phrases like “sustainable future”, “solar power” and “hydrogen economy” and thanks to the educational initiative sponsored by Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, in partnership with Discovery Channel School, provider of educational materials to schools nationwide, they may be able to apply these terms in real life instances in the near future.

“Solar Tower™ Renewable Energy Alliance of America” (aka The STREAM Coop http://solartower.coop) has recommended that the “Get Charged! ” program, launched in February 2003 in middle schools throughout America, be expanded to include exploratory documentaries about the future of “Solar Tower Turbine Clusters™” and the many benefits associated with “Solar Tower™ Turbine Cluster Villages.” The programs envisioned would be designed to answer basic questions about hydrogen fuel generated from “green” solar powered electricity – and why “Solar Tower™ Turbine Cluster Villages” represent the very best alternative to energy generation for the immediate and foreseeable future.

Middle school teachers in local communities served by Touchstone Energy cooperatives could be provided with educational tools, including videos, CD-ROMs, a Teachers Resource Guides, student activity books and other collateral materials – all at no charge –being subsidized by the “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” Under the Get Charged! program, to enhance the existing curriculum.

Touchstone Energy launched the Get Charged! program, ” …to give students a real-world understanding of electric power, and the important role electric cooperatives play in delivering the “juice” that runs their everyday lives.”

As almost every professional in education knows, Discovery Channel School products are developed by the worldÂ’s most respected individuals in television and multimedia and they are recognized by most leading educational groups for excellence. One of the reasons “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” has approached directors and associates of DiscoveryÂ’s award-winning programming is that much of its content, the curriculum and materials used in the Get Charged! program were developed specifically by Discovery Channel School for classroom use. All curriculum and materials comply with National Science Education Standards. The Get Charged! program represents a first-time partnership for Discovery with a non-educational entity to provide content directly to schools and “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” hopes to lend it’s support and knowhow to the ongoing initiative.

“Lots of kids (and most adults) are still in the dark about sustainable and alternative energy,” says H.Alfred Goolsbee, founder of the AEldwood™ Global Group of Companies and the “Solar Tower™ Renewable Energy Alliance of America” (aka-The STREAM Coop http://www.solartower.coop); “We would be delighted to partner with Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and Discovery Channel School to help get kids energized about sustainable futures and non-polluting sources of electric and hydrogen power.”

About the STREAM Coop:

AmericaÂ’s waste, and the worldÂ’s waste, can be converted into 100% Clean Green Electricity and Hydrogen Fuel for use in fuelcells.

“Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” a 3.6 billion dollar global energy and agricultural cooperative initiative, is set to expand development of Solar Tower technology throughout the world. Solar Tower technology is not patented, and this large-scale renewable solar based energy technology is capable of generating enough hydrogen fuel and electricity to supply cities the size of Los Angeles and Houston. Development of this technology is currently underway in Australia, however, it is important to note that anyone can and should research, design and build Solar Towers™. You can “Save the Earth and Make some money while you’re at it!™”

Today, even as you read these words, the large majority of AmericaÂ’s household waste is being hauled to landfills and dumped into old rock quarries and other rural and desert areas. This waste, for decades, has been leaching into the water tables and poisoning the Earth; poisoning the fauna and flora, and in many cases it poisons human children, their parents and grandparents.

Average householders and business owners, believing that they have no other option, continue to pay a monthly fee and support this contemptible behavior. Every day they say goodbye to valuable recyclable waste and they say goodbye to their money, never knowing what happened to that money (or waste). What exactly does happen to that money? You will be shocked at the truth.

Hundreds of Millions (billions) of dollars of profits “disappear” every year; meanwhile the waste piles higher and higher. Where does it go? Who will bring these environmental criminals to justice? It may never happen; but The STREAM COOP can do something to prevent it from happening in the future. Pay attention: Your life literally depends upon your ability to understand what youÂ’re about to read here and your eagerness to take action.

The new STREAM COOP Recycling system designed by H.Alfred Goolsbee, founder of the “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance LLC” will redirect over 85% of that waste into recycling centers and promises to reduce dramatically (by 80~95%) the waste that is usually bound for landfill, and alternatively, will convert that waste into money.

Over time these funds will be returned to those who produced the waste, proportionately, depending upon their active participation in the STREAM Cooperative.

It is the first time in history that a system promises to return cash for waste on a National Scale while at the same time reducing the mountains of waste being injected into Mother Earth.

This is made possible through two new simple systems of sorting waste; first at source, where the waste is generated, next at the STREAM Cooperative Recycling centers, where the waste should be hauled to instead of landfills.

The annual projected profits based on national averages should exceed US$ 20-billion. Even if only 15% of the US population will voluntarily select the STREAM Coop to handle their waste, annual projected profits based on national averages should exceed US$ 4-billion.

STREAM Recycling units pay for themselves within two years and will employ hundreds of thousands of people, while returning a profit to the members of the cooperative over a period of several years.

In addition to these astounding benefits, the STREAM Coop Initiative promises to accelerate dramatically the Global transition to a Distributed Fuel Cell Economy (http://www.dfce.com) based on eventual (next 5 years) production of Hydrogen Fuel (and other sustainable fuels) produced as a direct and indirect result of this recycling procedure.

The STREAM Coop, through itÂ’s unique and innovative recycling methods will generate memberÂ’s equity over a period of 3-4 years, as well as large quantities of powdered glass, aluminum, iron as well as non-toxic biomass (for reforestation). These assets will in turn be used to build The STREAM Agricultural Glasshouse Cooperative.

The STREAM Agricultural Glasshouse Cooperative in alliance with The STREAM Recycling Cooperative will build The STREAM Energy Cooperative. (Solar Tower Turbine Cluster™ Villages)

AmericaÂ’s waste will be converted into 100% Clean Green Electricity, Hydrogen Fuel, methanol and desiccated compost for use in reforestation projects.

The byproducts include forests, oxygen, distilled ionized water (negative charged, converted from ocean water), medicinal and aromatic herbs, tinctures and extracts, fruits and vegetables, and will generate hundreds of thousands, if not millions of employment opportunities for both skilled and unskilled labor at many levels.

If you wish to become a member of The STREAM Recycling Co-op today, and contribute your fair share of household waste as soon as possible you should contact us at mailto:stream@solartower.net. Become a local or regional co-op leader today and help us all to protect all our childrenÂ’s (and the Earth’s) right to a clean green sustainable future.

About the Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance:

US-Japan based “Solar Tower Cooperative Investment Alliance,” Solar Tower Renewable Energy Alliance of America LLC, (aka The STREAM Coop) and Solar Tower Co. Ltd. (Hong Kong), Solar Tower Pty Ltd. (Australia), and other members of the Solar Tower Global Group of Companies have been promoting development of Solar Tower™ technology into the US, China and all other suitable geographical locations globally.

Solar Tower technology is not patented, and this large-scale renewable solar based energy technology is capable of generating enough hydrogen fuel and electricity to supply cities the size of Los Angeles and Houston. Development of this technology is currently underway in Australia by EnviroMission Limited, however it is important to NOTE* that anyone can and should research, design and build solar towers.

There is no exclusive license required to develop Solar Tower renewable energy technology in Australia or any other place in the world. No patent was ever granted to EnviroMission Limited or to SolarMission Technologies regardless of their relationship with Schlaich, Bergerman und Partners in Germany. Nor was a patent ever granted to Schlaich, Bergerman und Partners in Germany, the original “inventor” of the “Solar Chimney” as they called it. (Re: http://www.sbp.de)

There is no Government approved owner of a Solar Tower™ patent in the US, China, Mexico, Jordan, Egypt, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Vietnam and Thailand, or any other place in the world; therefore SolarMission Technologies’ plans to build on EnviroMission Ltd’s progress through commercialization of the technology outside Australia, should be complimented by several cooperatively owned and operated groups of Solar Tower Turbine Clusters™ situated around the world.

A search for a suitable location in the US has already been conducted and enthusiasm for the implementation of Solar Tower Turbine Cluster™ technology in Arizona is evident. The Phoenix Rotary, (http://clean-air.org/) among others, has already expressed their support for the project when they sent a letter of encouragement (see below*) to the founding members of The STREAM Cooperative and other members of the NASA Ames research center on June 20th 2003 when The First Exploratory Meeting of The STREAM Cooperative at NASA Ames Research Park occurred. (view image at:[Enviromission EarthNews Online] http://www.enviromission.com)

Along with: Professor Daniel Kammen of the Renewable & Appropriate Energy Laboratory “RAEL” (see- [http://socrates.berkeley.edu/%7erael/testimonies.html ) of the University of California Berkeley several key figures of the NASA team were in attendance:

Michael Marlaire Assistant Director for Development, Office of the Director;

Dr.Peter Friedland, NASA Ames Chief Technology Officer;

“TJ” Reardon-Recycling Engineer

William Lloyd-Enterprise Engineer, APPLE Computers.

“Worldwide enthusiasm for Solar Tower Turbine Clusters™ might save us from extinction,” says Solar Tower Renewable Energy Alliance of America LLC founder, H.Alfred Goolsbee, “if enquiries worldwide increased substantially within the next year or two; Solar Tower Turbine Cluster™ technology could power the States the size of Texas, Arizona, California, New York and all future NASA missions not to mention the world at large!”

Solar Tower Renewable Energy Alliance of America LLC, (aka The STREAM Coop) and itÂ’s work to date, worldwide, has provided the project with the groundwork to effectively thwart attempts to monopolize this critical new source of energy and to insure clean green energy for future generations at affordable costs in any global energy market.

A Solar Tower Turbine Cluster™ power station is expected to abate over 7,000,000 tons of greenhouse gases annually, providing an important solution to the renewable energy challenge in the US.

*The Letter of Encouragement from Phoenix Rotary:

“Alfred,

Thank you for contacting us.

The Pollution-Free Planet Foundation has been working closely with the American Hydrogen Association for more than 7 years to promote Hydrogen and other forms of renewable energy as replacements for fossil fuels. We have made presentations to nearly 100 Rotary Clubs and other organizations around the United States.

We have also corresponded with many Rotary members from 40 or 50 other countries that we have met at International Rotary Conventions in Indianapolis, Indiana and San Antonio, Texas.

One of our next goals is to provide training for public school teachers to instruct elementary and secondary school students about renewable energy. They are the ones who will make the leap to a better life for all on earth.

We would be delighted to participate in your program. One of our original concepts was that public opinion is a very powerful force in a free market society. When there is a need for a product or service, a source for that product or service will appear. In order to generate a market for renewable energy, the general public must be made aware of its advantages. The market and the supply must grow up together. Without one, the other will not exist for long.

One of the best ways to maximize the effectiveness of this effort is for organizations such as ours to cooperate with each other. We can have a far greater result when we work together. Therefore, I look forward with enthusiasm to keeping in touch with your group. There can be no greater task than saving the world’s environment.

Hope to talk with you again soon.

Regards,

Bill (William) Chase

President

(PRWEB) December 2, 2003

Tonya Zavasta grew up believing that she was and never would be considered beautiful. Afflicted with hip problems that have required extensive surgeries, she nevertheless set out to find how to improve her appearance Â… and in the process improved her general health. Now this 45-year-old woman turns heads wherever she goes.

In her book “Your Right to be Beautiful, How to Halt the Train of Aging & Meet the Most Beautiful You” she shares her philosophy about beauty and her methods for attaining the beauty that is every woman’s right, based on a diet of raw plant food.

TonyaÂ’s attitude to beauty is based on the acknowledgement that health is the internal beauty of the body, and that fostering inner beauty (i.e. health) will promote outward attractiveness too. Using the same determination and intelligence that allowed her to achieve advance degrees in engineering and mathematics she has spent the last 5 years researching the scientific data on health and nutrition. She became convinced that the solution to her lifelong quest for beauty and health was to be found in the raw food lifestyle or the Rawsome Diet as she calls it. The Rawsome Diet eliminates the damaging waste that accumulates from eating foodstuffs that do not respect human physiology. It also restores the integrity of tissue at a cellular level and so facilitates the operation of all our organ systems.

Some of the methods that Tonya recommends include:

Kids reality TV; the future of television?

(PRWEB) February 2, 2004

With the recent explosion of Reality TV programming reaching it’s saturation point, we find that children’s television is the next great frontier for networks.

Trevor Chowning, Personal Manager to Hollywood’s reality stars, is following the trend of his peers and has taken on the role of Producer for a new series. Will his next TV effort be another “Real World” or “Road Rules” sort of venture like the shows that built the careers of his clients? Not by a long shot. His project, produced under his shared company Skyvue Pictures, will be a reality show aimed squarely at kids.

With the popularity of programs such as “Endurance”, “Bug Juice”, and a host of other shows that appeal to and feature the 12-to-17 year old audience, Chowning saw the potential in this new project from the outset. “When I was approached early on with the idea for this project I said ‘yes’ without hesitation. It’s a totally original concept that no one has seen before.”

So far, he has refused to give any specific details about the show or even take meetings with network executives about the project. When asked about this non-traditional approach to marketing a TV show, Chowning explained, “There’s always interest in a solid idea, I’m in no rush to make any deals.”

He went on to explain that the youth of today are far more sophisticated than children were even a decade ago. “You have to be willing to listen to kids and interpret what they want to see. Too often networks try to tell them what’s cool and kids never fall for that, they know what they like and what they don’t.”

When asked what he thinks of his show’s chance of success in the fickle marketplace Chowning replied with his trademark confidence, “When you have no competition, it’s easy to be a winner.”
